ELKHART LAKE IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION: Elkhart Lake Groundwater Modeling
The Elkhart Lake Improvement Association will continue the monitoring of groundwater started in 2004 and 2005. This monitoring will add 6 new well locations to provide a better distribution of sampling points. A total of twenty wells will be sampled on two dates for total phosphorus and fecal coliform. A consultant will utilize the data collected for a comprehensive report. The report will contain the following elements:
1. Graphics showing the sampling locations and observed concentrations.
2. Identification of trends in groundwater flow and distribution of any potential ground water contamination.
3. A comparison of this data to the data collected in 2004-2005 to determine if the 2004-2005 sampling results represent long-term conditions.
