CLEAN LAKES ALLIANCE: Yahara Lakes and Beaches Mobile-Ready Website Development
Clean Lakes Alliance will develop a website for mobile-phone use particularly by users of the Madison Lakes to get up-to-date information about lake water quality in the nearshore area, which has been collected and reported by an existing volunteer and municipal lifeguard network. This will allow the public to be better informed of risks and opportunities for lake recreation. They will deliver a user-friendly website that displays real-time information about public beaches and near-shore waters, and a final report with recommendations for improving monitoring, partner collaboration, data entry, user-interface, and information sharing. They will also hold meetings with various local entities to evaluate the program and strengthen partnerships. Data summaries will be shared with participants, researchers and other interested people. At least one community presentation will be given at the end of the season.
