CITY OF DELAFIELD: Lake Protection Plan for Lake Nagawicka
The City of Delafield will hire a contractor to conduct a point intercept plant survey and update the aquatic plant management plan. The project deliverable will be a plan that contains the following elements: 1) Raw data from the plant survey (to be provided electronically) ; 2) maps showing the distribution and density of each aquatic plant found in the survey; 3) an updated aquatic plant management plan discussing chemical, manual harvesting and appropriate mechanical harvesting options; 4) watershed analysis; 5) an examination of the stream bank erosion on the Bark River inlet; 6) water quality assessment; 7) sediment depth mapping; 8) summary air photo with specific recommendations for watershed and shoreline restoration projects; and 9) a specific action plan to implement recommendations. A draft report should be provided to the Department for review before finalizing the plan. Additional details regarding the project deliverables are outlined in section E of the project grant application. Two paper copies and 1 electronic copy of the final plan should be provided to the Department upon project completion.
