KETTLE MORAINE LAKE ASSOCIATION: Kettle Moraine Lake Management Plan Update
The Kettle Moraine Lake Association, Inc. is sponsoring a project to update their Comprehensive Lake Management Plan.
Project final deliverables include: all data collected, agendas and minutes for planning meetings, and a lake management plan that includes methodologies, results, and management alternatives discussion with an implementation plan.
Specific project activities include: 1) Water quality and watershed assessment and modeling; 2) Fisheries data compilation and integration within the management plan; 3) Shoreline and coarse woody habitat assessment; 4) Assessment of the current aquatic plant community; 5) Completion of stakeholders survey; 6) Public participation in the planning process; 7) Volunteer aquatic invasive species monitoring; 8) Conduct at least 200 hours per year of Clean Boats Clean Waters watercraft inspections; 9) Creation of an updated comprehensive lake management plan that includes an implementation strategy.
