LAKE REDSTONE PROTECTION DISTRICT: LK Redstone 9-Key Element Planning 3-Phase Project - Phase 1
Lake Redstone Protection District will embark upon a 9-Key-Element (9KE) Plan for Lake Redstone. This will be phase 1 of a 3-phase project. This project has the following elements: a) APM management support for EWM control in specific bays, b) a shoreland habitat survey to prioritize properties for Healthy Lakes; c) monitor water quality; d) complete a trend analysis of lake data 1998 to 2017; complete the 9KE plan, and provide an educational event.
Project final deliverables include: EWM management report with PI data, treatment summary and data analyses; maps, data sheets, photos and description of shoreline assessment results; water quality data collected and analyzed; a report of long-term trend analysis of past water quality; and a complete and final 9KE plan. All raw data collected must be in SWIMs or proper format. Status and final reports are required with financial reimbursement requests.
Specific project activities include: Support for EWM monitoring, planning and management in 2018; Following DNR shoreline survey protocol, the lake shoreline will be monitored to assess priority for Healthy Lakes projects; surface water and water column sampling; a trend analysis will be done on historical lake data; a 9KE plan will be written (in concert with work done under Phase 2 and Phase 3 grants); at least one educational event will be held.

If consultant is to provide a final report, it is recommended that Grantee provide DNR Lakes Coordinator with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the department in electronic format to the regional Lakes Coordinator along with, or prior to, submission of grantee\2019s final payment request.
