TOWN OF WASHINGTON: Eagle Lake AIS Navy Project
The Town of Washington is sponsoring an Aquatic Invasive Species Education, Prevention & Planning grant to be completed by June 30, 2008. The project will focus on AIS education, prevention and monitoring.
Project activities include:
1) Recruit volunteers and implement a Clean Boat/Clean Water program at Eagle Lake
2) Hire an AIS coordinator
3) Conduct AIS citizen lake monitoring following Dept/UW Ext guidelines
4) Entry of inspection forms 3200-120 and monitoring forms onto Dept website
5) Host a plant/animal identification day
6) Build a portable lake map display
