TOWN OF BELLE PLAINE: Cloverleaf Lakes Comprehensive Management Planning Project

The Town of Belle Plain is sponsoring a project to develop a Comprehensive Lake Management Plan for the Cloverleaf Lakes.

Project final deliverables include: all data collected, agendas and minutes for planning meetings, and a lake management plan that includes methodologies, results, and management alternatives discussion with an implementation plan.

Specific project activities include: 1) In-Lake water quality & watershed assessment; 2) Fishery information and data integration 3) Shoreline condition assessment 4) Sociologic survey; 5) Aquatic plant community mapping and reports 7) Management planning meetings.

Special Conditions: 1) CLMN efforts should not be duplicated, and these data shall be included in the trends analysis and final reporting; 2) All data shall be entered into the SWIMS database; 3) Draft sociological/user surveys and shoreline assessments must be reviewed and approved by the Department before being initiated; 3) Lakewide aquatic plant point Intercept surveys shall be conducted according to WDNR\2019s \201CRecommended Baseline Monitoring of Aquatic Plants in WI Protocol\201D.

This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Biologist.

If consultant is to provide final report, it is recommended that Grantee provide DNR Lake Coordinator with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. DNR to receive both paper and electronic .pdf copies of the final report along with, or prior to submission of grantee's final payment request.
