LEGEND LAKE P & R DISTRICT: Legend Lake EWM Control Project
The Legend Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District proposes to control Eurasian Water-milfoil (EWM) through chemical treatment and preventative measures in the Wahtosah/Skice basins during the period 2008-2009. The project elements and deliverables are specified in the District's Aquatic Invasive Species Grant application, dated January 30, 2008. The project includes conducting pre-treatment surveys annually to monitor the extent of EWM and efficacy of the previous year's treatment; treating EWM infested areas with aquatic herbicides; conducting education and prevention activities to prevent further AIS infestations, and conducting watercraft inspections.
