LAKE NOKOMIS CONCERNED CITIZEN'S INC.: Bridge Lake Aquatic Invasive Species Control & Prevention
Lake Nokomis Concerned Citizens (LNCC) is sponsoring an AIS Controlling Established Infestations grant on Bridge Lake in Lincoln County to be completed by December 31, 2012. This is a four year project that will focus on EWM management, and AIS education, prevention and monitoring. The goal is to reduce the treatable EWM to less than 10 acres. This will allow LNCC to continue management of AIS with minimal state financial assistance.
Project activities include: 1) Annual chemical treatments of EWM; 2) Annual Pre and Post treatment monitoring and analysis; 3) Annual volunteer AIS monitoring; 4) Recruit volunteers and implement a CB/CW program; 5) Entry of inspection forms 3200-120 and monitoring forms onto Dept website; 6) Develop annual project report and a final report.
