TOWN OF PRESQUE ISLE: Presque Isle Town Lakes Committee APM Plans
The Town of Presque Isle is sponsoring an AIS EPP grant to be completed by December 31, 2009. The project will focus on creating APM Plans for Annabelle, Armour, Cathaline, Horsehead, Lynx, Mabel, Papoose, and Van Vliet Lakes and AIS education and prevention.
Project activities include: 1) Point-intercept surveys; 2) Recruit volunteers and implement a CB/CW program; 3) Conduct AIS citizen lake monitoring following Dept/UW Ext guidelines; 4) Entry of inspection Forms 3200-120 and monitoring Forms 3200-124 and/or 3200-130 onto Dept website; 5) Water quality sampling; 6) Stakeholder participation: Initial/final meetings, public survey; 7) Develop project report.
