WAUBEESEE LAKE PROTECTION DISTRICT: Waubeesee Lake APM Plan

The Waubeesee Lake Protection District will hire a contractor to develop an aquatic plant management plan. The plan will utilize plant survey data collected from a previous grant. This project will determine the extent of invasive species in Waubeesee Lake and what treatment would be necessary to promote native species growth. The final report will include: 1)Historic plant and plant control activities, discussion & analysis of current control, maps of plant beds, maps of proposed treatment areas and lake use and boat ordinances. 2)Discussion & description of sensitive area, source of plant problems, exotic species and recommendations for plant control, both mechanical and chemical.
