MINONG FLOWAGE ASSOCIATION: Minong Flowage EWM Control Project, 2009-2011

Minong Flowage Association is sponsoring a 3-year project to implement approved activities from the Minong Flowage Aquatic Plant Management Plan. Approved activities include chemical treatment and manual removal of Eurasian watermilfoil; herbicide residual monitoring; annual pre- and post-treatment aquatic plant surveys; EWM weevil, curlyleaf pondweed, and wild rice monitoring/mapping; temp/DO meter purchase and water quality testing; implementation of a watercraft inspection program; public meetings and outreach; and annual reporting. Note: this project was not funded in whole and may need to apply for future grants to achieve the activities and deliverables described in this scope.
