NAMAKAGON LAKE ASSOCIATION, INC.: Namakagon Lake Hybrid Eurasian Northern Water Milfoil Control

Project Scope and Description of Deliverables

The Namakagon Lake Association will control Hybrid Eurasian Northern Watermilfoil on Lake Namakagon, Jackson Lake, and Garden Lake using results of a trial of three herbicides in 2021.

Project final deliverables include:

Final Report including: 1) Copy of pre-treatment survey of HWM with maps. 2) Copies of permitting and public notices. 3) Aquatic Plant Management Treatment Report. 4) Copy of post-treatment survey results with maps. 5) Report on manual-removal in targeted areas with maps. 6) Evaluation HWM control results and effectiveness of herbicide and hand-removal methods. 7) Financial Reimbursement Request with costs, labor, and match.

Specific project activities include:

1)Survey to identify HWM locations. 2) Pre-monitoring PI survey conducted August of year previous to treatment. 3) Permitting, public notice, and coordination. 4) Herbicide treatment of targeted HWM beds. 5) Manual removal of residual HWM. 6) Post treatment PI survey.

Special Conditions: 1) Results and maps of pre-treatment surveys, post treatment surveys, and hand-removal with maps; 2) CLMN efforts should not be duplicated, and these data shall be included in the trends, analysis, and final reporting; 3) all data shall be entered into the SWIMS database.

This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Biologist.

If consultant is to provide final report, it is recommended that Grantee provide DNR Lake Coordinator with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. DNR to receive both paper and electronic .pdf copies of the final report along with, or prior to submission of grantee's final payment request.
