FROG & BASS LAKE ASSOC, INC: Frog & Bass Lake Management Planning Project

Frog and Bass Lake Association, Inc. is sponsoring an AEPP grant to study Frog and Bass Lakes, in Florence County. The project will focus on developing a Lake Management Plan (LMP) for Frog and Bass Lake. Completion of a LMP will allow for potential Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) cost sharing grants and permits for Eurasian water-milfoil (EWM) control.

Project activities include: 1) Stakeholder participation kick-off meeting, AIS training, stakeholder survey, planning meetings (up to 2), wrap-up meeting, news release, and newsletter article; 2) Annual volunteer AIS monitoring; 3) Water quality sampling (Secchi, P, Chla, N, Conductivity, pH, Calcium, DO, and temp); 4) Curly-leaf pondweed (CLP) survey and aquatic plant community mapping; 5) Pre/post treatment monitoring and residual sampling; 6) Shoreline assessment; 7) Fisheries assessment; 8) Watershed assessment and P load modeling; 9) Professional Dreissena monitoring; 10) Develop Lake Management Plan.
