FROG & BASS LAKE ASSOC, INC: Frog & Bass Lakes APM Planning Project - Frog Lake & Stakeholder Participation Phase

The Frog and Bass Lake Association (FBLA) is sponsoring a project which will focus on updating aquatic plant management goals/actions from a comprehensive management plan to create an aquatic plant management plan (APMP) for Frog and Bass Lakes.

Activities:

1) Conduct an aquatic plant point-intercept (PI) survey, a late season EWM mapping survey, and aquatic plant community mapping for both lakes;

2) Conduct an acoustic bathymetry survey for both lakes;

3) Review historical water quality data for both lakes;

4) Conduct a lake user social survey;

5) Update APM goals/actions to create an APMP.

Deliverables:

1) Data from aquatic plant, bathymetry, and social surveys;

2) A completed final report and updated APMP.

Conditions:

1) All monitoring shall follow DNR protocols.

2) Draft lake user survey questions to be reviewed and approved by DNR Social Scientist before distribution or use.

3) DNR Lake Biologist will be provided with a copy of reports and/or management plans; data from aquatic plant, bathymetry, and lake user surveys.

4) DNR Lake Biologist will be invited to management planning meetings.

This scope summarizes details provided in the application and does not negate tasks and/or deliverables described therein. Data, reports, surveys, and supporting information, including photos, maps and GIS data, must be submitted to the DNR Biologist in electronic format and in any other format they specify.

If a consultant provides a final report, it is recommended that the Grantee provide the DNR Biologist with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making a final payment to the consultant. Include electronic copy of the final report along with or prior to submission of grantee's final payment request.
