WHEELER LAKE ASSN, INC: SWE - AIS Information and Education - Wheeler Lake Association

The Wheeler Lake Association is sponsoring a project to develop an AIS Education and Outreach Program to build resident engagement and enhance resident comprehension of WLA's AIS management. To sufficiently achieve this level of participation and sustained support, activities and deliverables include offering free and accessible AIS educational trainings, events, and materials led by WLA's summer intern. Activities: 1) Hire two interns 2) Develop and host a Wheeler Lake AIS Discovery Day 3) Organize, promote, and facilitate WLA\2019s AIS Monitoring Program, 4) Become a CBCW trainer and host 3 monthly CBCW trainings Deliverables: 1) Final report discussing program & event survey results, participant feedback, and raw reflections from each intern of their own noted successes, challenges, and necessary improvements, 2) data from Wheeler Lake AIS Discovery Day monitoring entered into SWIMS, 3) data from WLA\2019s AIS Monitoring Program entered into SWIMS, 4) CBCW training attendance entered into SWIMSConditions: 1) Notify DNR AIS Biologist of any new detection of an AIS species; 2) Enter data collected into SWIMS database under the grant project number.This scope summarizes details provided in the application and does not negate tasks and/or deliverables described therein. Data, reports, surveys, and supporting information, including photos, maps and GIS data, must be submitted to the DNR Biologist in electronic format and in any other format they specify.
