MARQUETTE COUNTY: COMP - Buffalo Lake 9KE Plan

Marquette County Land and Water Conservation Department is sponsoring a project to create a 9-Key Element Plan for watershed-based planning and implementation in the Buffalo Lake Watershed. Sub-watersheds of focus are HUC# 040302010604 and HUC#040302010603.

Activities: 1) Draft 9KE Plan for 2 sub-watersheds of Buffalo Lake Watershed (HUC# 040302010604 and HUC# 040302010603). 2) Submit draft 9E plan to DNR 9KE Coordinator Andrew Craig prior to Spring 2027 for DNR and EPA approval. 3) Increase public and producer awareness of 9KE plan.

Deliverables: 1) A DNR and EPA approved 9KE plan; including estimated pollutant loadings, reductions needed, and resources needed to implement the plan. 2) Minimum of 2 meetings open to all producers regarding the development of the 9KE plan, with DNR staff invited. 3) Minimum of 2 meetings for general public to bring awareness of the plan.

Conditions:

1) Invite DNR Water Quality Biologists and Non-point staff to management plan development meetings.
