POSKIN LAKE ASSOCIATION INC.: Poskin Lake Interim AIS Education Prevention and Planning Project
The Poskin Lake Association is sponsoring an AIS prevention and education project including a Clean Boat/Clean Water inspection program at the public boat landing, shoreline AIS monitoring, and public outreach education, training, water quality monitoring, plant survey, and shoreline restoration demonstration. Deliverables include: 1) A summary of project accomplishments/progress including watercraft inspection detailing total time and number of people reached; 2) Clean Boat/Clean Water survey results; daily results will be entered into the DNR CB/CW database; 3) Verification of workshops/inspector training such as agendas and attendance lists; 4) Report on In-lake AIS aquatic plant monitoring observations of any detected aquatic invasive species with appropriate maps; 5) Report on CLP surveys with appropriate maps; 6) Report on public outreach activities such as Lake Fair and distribution of education materials; 7) Report on shoreland restoration demonstration project; 8) Report on water quality monitoring including precipitation monitoring, run-off event sampling, lake water quality sampling; 9) AIS related materials generated or paid for by this grant. Special conditions for this project: Special conditions for this project: 1) WDNR\2019s Aquatic Plant Management in Wisconsin guidance should be followed for point-intercept survey monitoring and/or aquatic plant management plan development; 2) The project sponsor shall immediately contact the DNR if new aquatic invasive species is found.
