MOEN LAKE CHAIN ASSOCIATION: Moen Lake Chain AIS Project

Moen Lake Chain Association is sponsoring a project on the Moen Chain in Oneida County focusing on AIS education, prevention and monitoring. Project activities include: 1) Hire an AIS coordinator; 2) Recruit volunteers and implement a CB/CW program; 3) Conduct AIS citizen lake monitoring following Dept/UW Ext guidelines; 4) Entry of inspection and monitoring forms into SWIMS; 5) AIS education- disperse information in local community, share results of project in newsletter and local media; 6) Develop final report. Project deliverables include: 1) Entered inspection and monitoring data into SWIMS; 2) AIS coordinator; 3) AIS educational and outreach activities; 4) Final report summarizing CB/CW activities, AIS monitoring and AIS educational activities.
