DANE COUNTY: Survey of Rice Lake
Dane County Land & Water Resources Department proposes to conduct a baseline survey of Rice Lake, Dane County, and make management recommendations to better manage and protect this lake, where Dane County owns some undeveloped parkland on the shore. Water chemistry samples will be collected twice, and habitat surveys will be completed. Wildlife observed will be documented, and fish will be sampled. Watershed boundaries will be delineated, along with land uses. A complete report with recommendations and all raw data will be prepared. The study will be announced via press release, the public will have an opportunity to have input to the report, and the final report will also be available on Dane County's website.
