SPECTACLE LAKE PROTECTION & REHAB DIST: Spectacle Lake Stewardship Program, Phase 3

Spectacle Lake P&R District is sponsoring phased large scale lake planning grants to study Spectacle Lake, in Vilas County. The project will focus on developing a Lake Management Plan (LMP) for Spectacle Lake. Phases 1 and 2 were funded in the Feb 2011 grant cycle and Phase 3 was funded in Aug 2011.

Phase 3 project activities include: 1) Rare species and water quality assessment; 2) Volunteer frog and toad monitoring and angler\2019s journal program; 3) Water quality and watershed assessment; 4) Develop Aquatic Plant Management (APM) plan and LMP; 5) Educational program stakeholder survey, meetings, newsletter articles, and press releases.
