SEVENMILE LAKE ASSOCIATION: Sevenmile Lake Stewardship Program, Phase 2
Sevenmile Lake Association is sponsoring a phased planning project to study Sevenmile Lake, in Oneida County. The project will focus on developing a Lake Management Plan (LMP) for Sevenmile Lake. Phase 1 was funded during the Feb 1, 2012 grant cycle and Phase 2 is being funded with this grant.
Phase 2 activities include: 1) Volunteer frog and toad monitoring and angler's journal program; 2) Watershed assessment and water quality sampling; 3) Rare species assessment and shoreland assessment; 4) Educational program - stakeholder survey, watercraft inspections, lake ecology workshop, meetings, newsletter articles, and press releases; 5) Develop LMP.
Project deliverables include: 1) Stakeholder survey, water quality, rare species, frog and toad, angler\2019s journal, shoreland, and watershed data; 2) Shoreland and watershed maps; 3) Entered inspection data into SWIMS; 4) Education materials; 5) LMP.
Specific conditions for this project: 1) Draft of stakeholder survey needs to be submitted to Lakes Management Coordinator for review and approval before sending to public; 2) Project summaries and LMP need Dept review and approval.
WDNR Lakes Management Coordinator will be provided with an electronic (pdf or word) copy of reports, stakeholder survey, water quality, watershed, rare species, shoreland, frog and toad and angler data, all maps from project, and all GIS data.
