CISCO CHAIN RIPARIAN OWNERS ASSOC: Big Lake EWM Early Response Project
Cisco Chain Riparian Owners Association, Inc. is sponsoring anEarly Detection Response project focusing on surveying, monitoring, mapping, hand-pulling, and chemically treating the new discovery of EWM in Big Lake of the Cisco Chain, Vilas County.
Project activities include: 1) Conduct annual pre/post treatment surveys; 2) Control EWM by hand removal efforts and chemical treatments; 3) Develop annual maps and summary report.
Project deliverables include: 1) EWM survey data and maps; 2)Annual summary report describing the findings of the pre/post treatment surveys, chemical treatments, hand-pulling efforts, guidance for continued control actions.
Specific conditions for this project: Annual summary report needs Department review and approval
WDNR Lakes Management Coordinator will be provided with an electronic (pdf or word) copy of summary reports, all maps, and all aquatic plant and GIS data.
