PLEASANT LAKE MANAGEMENT DISTRICT: Pleasant Lake Supplemental Management Planning
The Pleasant Lake District is sponsoring a Large-Scale Planning Grant to conduct supplemental lake management planning work to augment the plan being developed by the University of Wisconsin \2013 Stevens Point (Waushara County Grant). Project activities include:
1. Stakeholder participation (per grant application specifics)
2. Inventory course woody habitat
3. Complete a bathymetric study of the lake.
4. Presence / absence mussel survey
5. Aquatic plant surveys
6. Development of an APM Plan
Project Deliverables
1. APM plan
2. Draft Project Report will be submitted to the DNR for review at least 2-months prior to the project deadline.
3. Final report will be given to the UWSP (Nancy Turyk) in digital format. One digital and two hard copies will be provided to the DNR Lake Coordinator.
4. At the Wrap-up meeting and / or District Annual meeting shoreline restoration / enhancement will be stressed to the lake stakeholders.
Project Timeline
1. Draft Report submittal by 10/31/2014. Draft report needs DNR approval
2. Final Report will be completed by 12/31/2014.
