CRESCENT LAKE ASSOCIATION: Crescent Lake 2014 Education, Prevention & Planning

Crescent Lake Association is sponsoring an AIS project on Crescent Lake, in Oneida County. The project will focus on AIS education, prevention and monitoring. Project activities include: 1) Hire an AIS coordinator; 2) Recruit volunteers and implement a CB/CW program; 3) Conduct AIS citizen lake monitoring following Dept/UW Ext guidelines; 4) Entry of inspection and monitoring forms into SWIMS; 5) AIS education- disperse information in local community, share results of project in newsletter and local media, and host a volunteer recognition dinner; 6) Purple loosestrife and yellow iris hand removal; 7) Develop final report.
