HIGH-FISHTRAP-RUSH LKS ASSOC: High-Fishtrap-Rush Lakes Stewardship Program, Phase 2
High-Fishtrap-Rush Lakes Association is sponsoring phased large scale lake planning grants to study High-Fishtrap-Rush Lakes, in Vilas County. The project will focus on developing a Lake Management Plan (LMP) for High-Fishtrap-Rush Lakes.
Phase 2 project activities include: 1) Volunteer frog and toad monitoring and angler\2019s journal program; 2) Watershed assessment and water quality sampling; 3) Lake stage, discharge and retention time assessment; 4) Rare species assessment; 5) Shoreland assessment; 6) Watercraft inspections; 7) Develop LMP.
Project deliverables include: 1) Water quality, rare species, frog and toad, angler\2019s journal, lake stage, discharge, retention, and watershed data; 2) Entered inspection data into SWIMS; 3) Education materials; 4) LMP.
Specific conditions for this project: LMP needs Dept. review and approval.
WDNR Lakes Management Coordinator will be provided with an electronic (pdf or word) copy of LMP, water quality, watershed, rare species, frog and toad, stage, discharge, retention, and angler data, all maps from project, and all GIS data.
