Notes
Thiel Creek was assessed in 2018 for phosphorus, temperature, and bugs. Phosphorus levels were too high for healthy aquatic communities like plants, bugs, and fish. In 2020 new bug and fish information showed poor community health. Thiel Creek was listed for phosphorus in 2018 and degraded biological community in 2020. This water is covered by a watershed plan, Bear Lake - Little Wolf River Watershed Plan (2028), and a TMDL plan, the Upper Fox & Wolf River Basins TMDL, approved by the US EPA on February 27, 2020. New water quality data reviewed in the 2024 cycle indicated no additional pollutants.
