This segment of the Sheboygan River was assessed in 2014 for fish community, which was in fair health. In 2020 this segment was assessed for phosphorus and fish communities. The phosphorus levels were too high for healthy aquatic communities as evidenced by poor fish community health. This water was listed in 2020 and impairment was confirmed in the 2022 cycle. This water is covered by the Northeast Lakeshore TMDL, approved in 2023. New water quality data reviewed in the 2024 cycle indicated no additional pollutants.
