Water is impaired due to one or more pollutants and associated quality impacts.
Notes
Dam Lake was listed as impaired in 1998 due to mercury from atmospheric deposition but new fish tissue samples reviewed in the 2016 cycle showed sufficiently low levels to be covered by a general consumption advisory. This listing was removed.
Dam Lake was evaluated every two-year cycle from 2016 to 2024; phosphorus levels were too high. Aquatic plant and algae communities are in good condition. Dam Lake is on the Impaired Waters List.
