A fish survey conducted in 2002 found no fish in the middle reach. Continuous monitoring found DO levels below 2 mg/l. and a maximum temperature of 19.8O C. Based on temperature data, this stream appears to have potential as a coldwater fishery, except for the low DO levels.

Macroinvertebrate IBI scores were 5.2 and 6.08 from samples collected in 2002. A fish survey completed in 2006 at Sandberg Road found zero fish.
