Impaired Water Notes
1998 Stream Survey Report (water temperature =12 degrees C.), clear water, and common aquatic life. Stations 1 and 2 had 15 brook trout ranging from 5-7 inches.

Fish Management surveyed the stream at two locations in 2002 and 2006. The survey near the mouth at STH 88 (SWIMs ID 10009481) found nine trout in 2002 ranging in size from 1.5 to 8 inches. No other species were reported in the database. In 2006, only three fish were collected including a 3.5 inch brook trout.
A survey completed approximately one mile upstream from STH 88 (SWIMs ID = 10009482) in 2002 found 76 brook trout represented by multiple year classes including young of year. The survey completed in 2006 found 99 trout, mostly young of the year. The largest trout measured was 4.5 inches.
A habitat survey completed in 2002 indicates the mean width of the stream is two meters. The same data appears to be entered for both sites in the database; therefore it cannot be determined which site the habitat survey represents.
The watershed should be evaluated to determine if impacts to the stream are controlled and if the stream is meeting its designated use.
