Water is impaired due to one or more pollutants and associated quality impacts.
Notes
Campground Creek is 303(d) listed for total suspended solids in the water degrading the aquatic habitat.
This water was assessed during the 2018 listing cycle; new total phosphorus sample data overwhelmingly exceed 2018 WisCALM listing criteria for the Fish and Aquatic Life use, however, available biological data do not indicate impairment. New macroinvertebrate and fish sample data were assessed; no macroinvertebrate or fish Index of Biotic Integrity (IBI) scored in the "poor" condition category. This water was also assessed for temperature; new temperature sample data did not exceed 2018 WisCALM listing criteria for the Fish and Aquatic Life use.
This water is covered by the Upper Fox & Wolf River Basins TMDL, approved by the US EPA on February 27, 2020.Pollutant

Impaired Water Notes
All of the following keep most of the Campground Subwatershed Main Stem and tributaries from reaching their Use Potential:
1.) Sediment runoff and deposition (particularly in the Origin Subwatershed)
2.) Unnatural increases in temperature (Main Wetland Complex Subwatershed and Middle-Stem Subwatershed)
3.) Habitat degradation through ditching, peat mining, erosion from excess runoff and ditching, creation of connected enlargements
4.) Anoxic conditions and D.O. not meeting water quality standards (Main Wetland Complex Subwatershed and Middle-Stem Subwatershed) due to man-made degradation of the Main Wetland and ditching.
