Water is impaired due to one or more pollutants and associated quality impacts.
Notes
This segment of the Pike River is covered by the Lake Michigan PCB fish consumption advisory, and is listed for PCBs in fish tissue.

This portion of the Pike River was evaluated in 2014 for phosphorus and biology. Phosphorus levels were found to be too high, which was reflected in poor bug community health. This segment was also evaluated for chloride in 2016 and levels were too high, which can be harmful to plant, bug, and fish communities. High phosphorus was confirmed in the 2020 cycle and high chloride levels were confirmed in 2020 & 2022. This water is covered by a restoration plan: Pike River Watershed Restoration Plan (expires 2038). New water quality data reviewed in the 2024 cycle confirmed the chloride listing.
