Impaired Water Notes
This water was assessed during the 2014 listing cycle; total phosphorus sample data exceed 2014 WisCALM listing criteria for the Fish and Aquatic Life use, however, available biological data do not indicate impairment (i.e. no macroinvertebrate or fish Index of Biotic Integrity (IBI) scored in the "poor" condition category). Mark Hazuga: Hay Creek (WBIC 2133300) Assessment unit 16116 is proposed for total phosphorus listing on the draft 2014 list. Data collected in this assessment unit likely represents total phosphorus concentrations in the upper two segments (1453605 and 1453560) therefore these segments should also be listed. Agricultural landuse is similar throughout the water. All three segments should be listed for total phosphorus.
