Notes
Wood Lake was evaluated every two-year cycle from 2014 to 2024. In the 2014 cycle excess algal growth was added to the Impaired Waters List. In the 2020 cycle elevated phosphorus was identified and confirmed by the 2022 cycle. Wood Lake is part of the Implementation Plan for the Lake St. Croix Nutrient Total Maximum Daily Load (2025).

This water was assessed during the 2020 listing cycle; total phosphorus sample data overwhelmingly exceeded 2020 WisCALM listing thresholds for the Recreation use and Aquatic Life use, and chlorophyll data also exceeded REC and FAL thresholds.Based on the most updated information the impairments of Eutrophication were added to the Total Phosphorus listing. The lake was also changed to category 5W in 2020 because it is part of the Implementation Plan for the Lake St. Croix Nutrient Total Maximum Daily Load (2025).
