The watershed for the Waldo Tributary to Onion River is a mixture of wetland, agricultural and urban land use. The upper reaches of the stream have been channelized and sedimentation is a problem. Storm water runoff and associated nonpoint source pollutants are the primary source of impairments to the stream. The lower reach of the stream is in good condition with adequate habitat, but low water elevation and flows.
