Yahara River has been on the state's 303(d) imparied waters list since 1998 for Total Suspended Solids and Total Phosphorus. In TMDL Approved 2011.

This water was assessed during the 2018 listing cycle; new total phosphorus sample data were clearly below 2018 WisCALM listing thresholds for the Fish and Aquatic Life use. Based on these data the TP listing was removed in the 2018 cycle. New water quality data reviewed in the 2024 cycle indicated no additional pollutants.
