This is the Green Bay portion of the Menominee River Area of Concern. This water was placed on the impaired waters list in 1998 for arsenic and PAHs in sediment. Contaminated sediment sites within the Menominee River Area of Concern have been remediated though work done by the Wisconsin DNR and Michigan Department of Environmental Quality. Arsenic and PAHs in sediment are proposed for delisting during the 2020 assessment cycle.
