New Data. Extensive monitoring and analysis found exceedances may be less than or equal to the error inherent in the monitoring process. There is no perceivable impact on aquatic life and modeling suggests complete elimination of point source discharges would have minimal effect on D.O.
The marginal exceedances of the dissolved oxygen are thought to be due to natural background conditions including a large complex marshland ecosystem upstream from the listed segment. Best professional judgement and modeling indicates a healthy aquatic community exists in the segment with intolerant fish species including smallmouth bass, muskellunge, northern hog sucker and rock bass being present.
