This reach of the river is impaired for general water quality restrictions due to PCBs and Mercury in the water column exceeding water quality standards as well as specific advisories for PCBs and Mercury in fish tissue.
Phosphorus was evaluated every two years between 2012 and 2020; levels were found to be too high for healthy plant, bug, and fish communities. In 2020 this water was assessed for chloride and no impairment for that parameter was found. In the 2024 cycle excess algal growth impairment was identified and new phosphorus data confirmed that pollutant listing.Pollutant
