Water is impaired due to one or more pollutants and associated quality impacts.
Notes
This water was every two year cycle from 2012 to 2024 for phosphorus, biology, chloride, and temperature. Phosphorus was consistenly elevated and has been listed since the 2012 cycle. No biological impairment was observed. Chloride and temperature levels were appropriate The phosphorus listing is covered by the Northeast Lakeshore TMDL, approved in 2023.

Impaired Water Notes
Based on the total phosphorus criteria excursions and the corroborating biological assessment (poor scoring fish IBI), this water is proposed as a new listing due to the “degraded biological community” impairment caused by elevated total phosphorus concentrations.
Date

Impaired Water Notes
This water was assessed during the 2014 listing cycle; total phosphorus sample data exceed 2014 WisCALM listing criteria for the Fish and Aquatic Life use, however, no biological data (i.e. no macroinvertebrate or fish Index of Biotic Integrity (IBI) scores) were available to assess biological impairment).
Date
2/27/2014

Impaired Water Notes
This water was assessed during the 2016 listing cycle; total phosphorus sample data exceed 2016 WisCALM listing criteria for the Fish and Aquatic Life use, however, available biological data do not indicate impairment (i.e. no macroinvertebrate or fish Index of Biotic Integrity (IBI) scored in the "poor" condition category).
Date

Impaired Water Notes
This water was assessed during the 2020 listing cycle; new total phosphorus sample data exceed 2020 WisCALM listing criteria for the Fish and Aquatic Life use, however, available biological data do not indicate impairment (i.e. no macroinvertebrate or fish Index of Biotic Integrity (IBI) scored in the "poor" condition category). Chloride and temperature data were also assessed but did not exceed 2020 WisCALM listing criteria. Based on the most updated information, no change in existing impaired waters listing is needed.
