Water is impaired due to one or more pollutants and associated quality impacts.
Notes
This segment of the East Branch of Rock River has been on the state's 303(d) impaired waters list since 2006 for Total Suspended Solids and Total Phosphorus. The phosphorus listing was confirmed with new data during the 2014, 2016, and 2018 cycles. This water is covered by a TMDL, placing it on the Waters In Restoration List. New water quality data reviewed in the 2024 cycle indicated no additional pollutants.

Impaired Water Notes
This water was assessed during the 2016 listing cycle; total phosphorus sample data overwhelmingly exceeded 2016 WisCALM listing thresholds for the Fish and Aquatic Life use, however, available biological data do not indicate impairment (i.e. no macroinvertebrate or fish Index of Biotic Integrity (IBI) scored in the "poor" condition category).
