LAKE NANCY PROTECTIVE ASSOCIATION, INC.: Lake Nancy/Kimbal Lake Boat Monitoring & Education

Purpose

Lake Nancy Protective Association in partnership with the Kimball Lakes Property Owners Association and Washburn County Lakes and Rivers Association is sponsoring an AIS project on Nancy and Kimball Lakes, Washburn County, to do the following activities: inspect watercrafts (approximately 1200 inspection hours); educate the public, in particular riparians; and construct signage and kiosks for boat landings. Project deliverables include: 1. A project summary of education & outreach activities, including workshops, mailings, and other outreach. 2. Digital images of signs and kiosks constructed. 3. Clean Boats Clean Waters data collection summary. Data collected must include those data required as part of the CBCW program and must be entered in the statewide database to be eligible for grant reimbursement. Special Conditions 1. Any new identification of an aquatic invasive species must be immediately reported to the Department. 2. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Coordinator. A draft report/deliverables will be submitted to the regional Lake Coordinator for review before finalization.
