Manitowoc County proposes to assist its lake associations (eg., Silver, Hartlaub, English, and Bullhead) in lake watershed management planning activities. Project activities include developing GIS capabilities for analyzing and tracking lake information, inventorying the identified lakes' watersheds, consulting with rural landowners for installation of best management practices, and analysis of data collected. The sponsor will provide the Department of Natural Resources with a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report summarizing the project's results. Information about the project results will be disseminated to the public by newsletter mailing and public meeting.
