Dane County proposes to perform a hydrologic assessment, water resources assessment, and restoration opportunities evaluation of the Nine Springs Creek watershed. Project deliverables include a map of current and projected land uses in the watershed, a map of the major springs recharge areas, estimates of impact of development on high and low-flow frequencies for various management scenarios, recommendations for improving stormwater management in the watershed, and recommendations of promising restoration opportunities including estimates of their potential benefits to water quality. The Sponsor will prepare a final report including the results of the above activities. The results of the above activities will be disseminated to the public by public meeting, local newspaper articles, and entire report mailing. The sponsor will provide the Department of Natural Resources with a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report.
