Lakes Planning Report

The Bear lake P & R District proposes to produce a photographic log of the entire Bear lake shoreline, characterize runoff samples from various land uses, integrate results into a comprehensive lake management plan, and prepare a shoreland guide for lake residents of Bear Lake in Oneida County. The project deliverables will include, 1) a photographic log of the entire Bear Lake shoreline. A description of existing shoreland conditions and potential improvements will be included with the shoreline photo log 2) monitoring and characterization of shoreland runoff from roadways, developed and undeveloped lakeside properties, and 3) preparation of a Bear lake Shoreland Guide for residents. The results of the above tasks will be incorporated into an updated version of the Bear Lake Comprehensive Lake Management Plan.
