VILLAGE OF OCONOMOWOC LAKE: Oconomowoc Highbred Milfoil Research

Purpose

The Village of Oconomowoc Lake will contract with Wisconsin Lutheran College to conduct a study of chemical treatment of hybrid milfoil. A pretreatment and a post treatment survey plant survey will be conducted in the four test plots. Four different treatments will take place (one control plot and three different dosage strength plots). Water quality sampling will be conducted at all four sites on a weekly basis. Reconnaissance sampling will be conducted twice a week during the study (between the pretreatment and post treatment surveys). The study will last approximately 4 weeks. Follow up surveys will be conducted one month and two months after the main study is complete. The project deliverable will be a report containing all of the results of the study, as outlined in the project proposal. Two paper copies and one electronic copy of the report will be submitted to the Department of Natural Resources
