HALF MOON LAKE P & R DISTRICT: Half Moon Lake Wetland Study

Purpose

Phase I: Assessment of the function and value of different wetlands in the watershed. Ranking and prioritization of the wetlands to select two for further analysis. Phase II: Completion of a detailed analysis of wetland function and value for twosites. Conduct an environmental hazards assessment. Identification of any archeological sites within the wetlands, prepare cost estimates of any appropriate capital immprovements and assess property values. Information will be disseminated to thepublic by newsletter, public meetings, final report and summary report mailings and local newspaper articles. Project results will be reposited in the Lake District files and DNR office.
