On behalf of the Pigeon Lake Association (PLA), Northern Environmental Technologies, Incorporated (Northern Environmental) completed a lake management study of Pigeon LakeILittle Pigeon Lake under a Lake Management Planning Grant received by the Pigeon Lake Sanitary District (PLSD) during April 1993. Pigeon Lake is an 80-acre seepage lake with a single perennial outlet located in southwest Manitowoc County (Figure 1). The lake has a maximum depth of 68 feet, an average depth of 19 feet, 1.6 miles of shoreline, about 80 dwellings, and a 1569-acre watershed (Figure 2). Little Pigeon Lake is an adjacent drainage lake with a surface area of 8 acres and a maximum depth of 15 feet. The Little Pigeon Lake shoreline is populated with purple loosestrife, an aggressive non-native plant.
