TOWN OF LONG LAKE: Township Lakes of Long Lake/Lakes Planning Assessment

Purpose

The Town of Long Lake is proposing to conduct a land use plan to protect all of the lakes in this town. The project activities will include the following: 1) general physical setting, 2) demographics, 3) land use inventory, 4) initial goals and objectives be reviewed and policies be developed, 5) recommendations for land use planning, zoning, public access, policy and ordinance development and future planning and policy needs will be addressed, 6) and a schedule for implementation for all the above will be included in the final plan. The Department of Natural Resources will be provided with both a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report. The project results will be disseminated to the public by local newspaper articles, entire report mailings and public meeting(s).
